i just want the truck to run good on 5 psi. i have no clue where my ignition timing is but either twist on it still runs awful

Do you know how to go about setting the ignition timing the proper way? Via grounding out that little pin to make the ecu go into base timing mode so you can adjust the timing with a gun

no clue.. how the hell does that work? i put a gun on it and it was retarded 5 degrees..
