    rough idle and stalling issues

The truck starts and drives great but it doesn't like to sit and idle. It will idle for about a minute and then start to studder and ultimately die after a few minutes of running. You can feather the gas and it's just fine. I was thinking maybe the electric choke isn't acting right but really not sure, it has power and I can see the butterfly moving. I've found if I hold the butterfly down it will stay idling a little better.

Lastly, when coming to a stop it will stall almost every time.

The truck sat for 4 years some I'm sure there's gremlins somewhere, just looking for a nudge in the right direction. So far I've sprayed the cab down good and sprayed around the engine looking for vacuum leaks with no luck. These truck's engine bays are a mess of vacuum lines.

Any pointers for keeping the coil from getting wet and the truck dying? Or this could another problem I have.

Never buy a carb from webercarbdirect - they are chinese copy junk!!! Get a redline weber kit from pierce manifolds or any other retailer that sells redline weber. The clue to a real weber is the name is cast into the cover on the carb and they are cast aluminum color - the copies have a weber sticker and are shiny.

I'm thinking that's my plan when I feel like spending the $250. If I read correctly I can run a regulator off my stock fuel pump and be on right?

spray B12 carb cleaner in to the bowl vent and let it sit for 15 mins.
may take 3 or 4 tries. or switch 1 and 3 plug wires to make it backfire through the carb to blow out the jets.

that wire switch is a great way to blow the secondary diaphram out of the 30+ year old carb...

So... Holley fuel pressure regulator between stock fuel pump and weber? I'm not going to bother with the stock carb anymore

From what I've read so far you need a beefier fuel pump and a regulator and filter to go with it. Not speaking from personal experience though, so correct me if I'm wrong.
