DSM is basically referred to as the Eclipse. You can use that ECU an harness since it is very similar to the MM 2.4 (same triggers and such).
DIS = Distributorless Ignition System which means you can wire up just about any coil setup you want for a coil on plug (COP) or coil per cylinder (CPC) system while using the factory distributor as the trigger for the ECU. You can also wire it up to run with the distributor as well.
A few sensors need to be added (like a knock sensor and a few others) for extended parameters of the DSM ECU. The idle control valve is also different as well as a couple other plugs. They need to be solved. Must of the wiring is in the same spot but a few pins are different between the two.
You basically end up with a more tunable ECU that can control more pieces and pars of your engine.
