I need some help with timing, I took the head off of my 1987 MM 2.0l because a washer fell off a bolt that came loose that holds the air cleaner base on, and fell into the intake, then when I would whip around a corner it would knock for a few seconds then quit, and after going 2 wheeling for a day it kept constantly doing it. So how should I time the valves to the engine timing, I had to spin the engine manually so I could find which cylinder the washer was in. and when cylinder 1 is at tdc, the mark is almost pointing straight up.
