    towing specs

    Hey guys I have a 1987 2.0 rwd 5spd ram 50
    I can't seem to find any specs on
    towing capacity & payload. Any help
    much appreciated.

    We do have an owners manual in the manual section somewhere. It might be listed in there. Other wise it's on the door plate in the truck.

    2,000 pounds is the tow limit for these trucks, but I've read many stories of heavily exceeding this figure.

    I would not exceed this due to the puny brake system.

    It's not the brakes that give way, it's the clutch that burns up. The clutches just haven't got the pressure to pull heavy stuff up hills to well.
