picked up a dying project mightymax

So I found this mighty max its body dropped to the doors seems like the tranny mount was made but my question is how to lower the motor mounts to clear my motor.

    Welcome to the forum

When you load an image, go ahead and load it to the forum from your system. That way it stays here if the image is moved from an URL. Also our system resizes the image and links it to the original size. Just an FYI, fixed your post.

As for your question...got a torch? Time to fabricate. I hope its on airbags too or the ride is going to be bad.

As of now the truck I believe is 3-/+ body drop has a 4 link rear with bag on bar and the common lambo doors . I have another mighty max that I bagged the front and was think of making one a donor to build one.

It is pretty easy. Just need to pull the mount out and cut them up. An angle grinder wjth a cut off wheel and a welder is all thats needed. You're going to have to make the plate that the motor mount is welded to that bolts to the block however much taller it is that you need the motor dropped so that you can raise up the bolt holes where it bolts to the motor in relation to the mount so it will drop it enough.

Truck looks badass too, that thing is tucking some wheel!

DroppedMitsu thanks for your advice do you think that the tranny will be off once I lower the motor ? I just want enough to clear the hood but not to much that I'll have my oil pan scrapping I'll measure n I think I have some extra mounts I'll use to cut n make longer so the bolt sits higher n yes that truck is low it almost lays doors hopefully I can fit 20" since those stock are taller the my 20". Thanks again

looks like the PO just cut the rockers off with no plate on the bottom to put the strength back in. Bet the body drop is just as bad...

Yea def. wouldn't hurt plating up the bottom of the rockers and whatever else. You will probably want to mess with and lower the tranny a little bit too otherwise it is going to throw your u-joint angles(pinion) all off and they are going to be vibrating or worse break

All man Pennyman1 yes! The whole thing is hacked I don't know where to start or if I should just invest on my own truck I'm in a tight decision to he honest.
DroppedMitsu yeah I was thinking I would need to drop it but then I keep second thinking because the whole inside looks like puzzle pieces welded together I'll try and get better pictures seems like this truck had seem better days to be honest.

Where to start...well I see some great parts still on truck. The lift doors, bag system, not sure what else, but maybe find another truck and piece over the good stuff? Not sure how much work has been done to the carriage and how much more to do, but if it can be saved without breaking the bank it might be a fun build. Have a garage for the next couple years to put it in?
You can get about $116 for a truck body at the recycling steel yard. Or start parting it out on the stuff you don't need for your build and make some return on your investment and maybe give some members a chance at some things they need.
Darn camera phones are getting pretty nice images lately, surprising the quality they give.

if you plan on saving the truck, get it up on a rack and really look over the underside to see what else was modded by the PO - that is the best way to decide whether to save or part it out.
