    1989 ram 50 2.6 to 351w v8 swap

I am starting to do a 351w swap on my 1989 ram50. I was sent to this forum by another member via Facebook. For the motor mounts I was going to use the stock 351w mounts and try to fab them to the ram 50 frame. For the Transmission I was going to use an automatic or manual transmission, I haven't decided yet, but my question is will I have to get a drive shaft made? If any othey input let me know. Thanks in advance

Oh and the engine will be carb'ed. The motor came from a 1972 grand torino sport.

Check out My build, you can use either the 70's style mounts or the 80's style either work you just need to fab up the frame side. You can get the front yoke changed to a Ford yoke and have front drive shaft shortened to the correct length (cost me $45 at a drive line shop). T5,T56,C4 or Small Block C6 you shouldn't need to touch the trans tunnel. If you go AOD or a newer trans you will need to cut the tunnel and move it up about 1.5-2" to clear the 12" Torque converter.

Ok I will check it out. The truck and the 351 engine was given to me for free so I'm like why not.
