Just splice it in at the old horn wires - use a relay to switch the power to the air horn off the battery - the wiring in the column is not up to any high draw loads such as compressors, large solenoids, or older car and truck horns.

Just as a heads up, I worked in the 12volt industry for over 8years as both sales and installation. I appreciate your candor on how you would do it. However, I have already correctly wired the compressor as well as plumbed the air lines. Everything is fused as well as ran off a dedicated 12volt switched power to save me from a dead battery should the tank have a leak while parked.

All I asked for is the wire color coming from the steering column for the horn. Reason being, the horn button when pressed creates the ground I need to close the switch to open the solenoid.
I apologize for not explaining in detail my installation or why I was needing the wire color.

That being said, Does anyone have or know the wire color for the horn button coming from the steering column?

It is your lucky day - I just got a factory set of manuals for an 89 Ram 50. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1j...ew?usp=sharing I did not know your level of experience with wiring - I was answering it at a newbie level. Hope this helps!
