    Heater Control 88' Ram 50 2.0

I have a newly purchased 88' dodge 50 , 2.0 . I noticed the heater control doesn't seem to change much between defrost, floor, vent, etc. All fan speeds seem to work, but not much airflow felt. Lots of noise though. Is there a common problem with any of the heater control cables? or heater box flaps? It takes a while to defrost without the airflow.

Also idles rough, starts good cold...but once warm-Rough. I plan to look into it this weekend, just hoping for some good leads.

    Thanks, John

Check the cables to make sure they aren't broken. Check the cable stays to make sure they are in place. Check the plastic holding the cable stays. Check the cable ends. Repair or replace parts accordingly.

Those are the most common failures.

You could also check the large duct between the blower and the heater box, it could have an obstruction or not be installed properly. It comes out quite easily.
