    Power Steering retrofit

I notice it's been brought up several times on the forum, but I was wondering if there is a comprehensive list of components I need to acquire in order to put power steering into my 88MM. OR (wishful thinking), is there an aftermarket kit? After spilling hot coffee onto my innocent crotchal regions 2 days in a row, I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and convert.

On a side note, I question the sanity of the engineer that deemed that people must have an ashtray in these trucks... but not a cup holder since people never drink beverages while they drive.

You need the power steering gear box, pump, pump bracket, hardware, hoses, reservoir, and belt. Find one at the yard, and buy it.

A cup holder costs about 3 bucks.... that's the first route I'd take.

and the steering column - they are different lengths for manual and power steering due to the differences in the steering boxes.

I've seen people post about the different lengths, but I measured my manual and PS gear boxes - they're the same length.

Will all those components need to come out of a Mighty Max? Or are there components from other Mitsubishi vehicles that are compatible? The reason I ask is because most of the MMs at the local yards have been picked clean...

They're specific. Be patient or find someone here to pull and sell to you.

In the mean time, grab a cup holder.

dodge ram 50s are the same trucks - those may be harder to find depending where you are.
