I bought a super clean Arizona truck, I'm in mn so there hard to find. My plan was to do a 4g63 swap and make a drift truck out of it. The owner knew nothing about truck, including motor size, so for 300 cash I took a chance, and it turned out to be a 2.6. Is there a lot of info on what I need to do to swap it? Wish I coukd keep the trans coz it shifts super smooth!! I'm extremely familer with the 4g63.

$300 and it's a 2.6! That is a hellava deal man. the 2.6 has a chain not a belt so should run forever!. I know you want to swap for a slightly faster engine, but don't toss that 2.6. keep it as a back up incase you blow the 4g63 up.

The 2.6 isn't a terrible motor and you'll probably find parts more available for that, like headers, for one. Watch your temp gauge and keep the oil changed, timing chains usually get replaced around 60k to 80k depending on your driving.

And where are the pictures of this truck? We like
