Funny, the two longest time owners come to say hi. Pennyman has me beat though by like 100 years.

There's a c clip under the plastic cover that you have to pop out. Take a thin rag like a shop towel, slide an edge into the gap between the door and cover and grab each end of the rag. Pull the two ends around to pop the clip out. It's easier than it sounds.

If you have seal removing tools/picks you can hook the end of one under the C clip and gently pop it out (be warned - these things go flying everywhere so make sure you attempt to stop it from disappearing) A thin blade screw driver will work too if you can lever on one of the ends of the clip and pop it out.
