    g54b to 4g64 swap

    Will a 4g64 bolt up to my km145 transmission? Im trying to go mpi on my first gen. If so, what year will I need to look for?

    Im gonna say that yes it will bolt up but you have to use a mix match of parts for the clutch n flywheel. If I remember correctly. The g54 2.6 liter is a wide block just like the 4g64 2.4. The g63b 2.0 and 4g63 2.0 dohc are narrow block. If you search around here in posts and the wiki youll probably find what youre lookin for. Also try projectzerog.com

    This looks fairly easy but now im a little concerned about the 6/7 bolt thing. From what I can see it should be fine to run a 7 bolt as long as I get the flywheel modified to accept a pressure plate from a g54b right? It will be going in a first gen 4wd at stock height so I need the sump to clear the axle also.

    The G63B 2.0L also comes in Narrow block, I have one- 6 bolt.

    No they didnt, both my 87 and 89 had a narrowblock 2.0 g63b
