Tail light and dash lights don't work, on the dash the turn signal works all the warning ones light up but that's about it
They like to get corrosion on the back side of the fuse block. Use a test light and check for power on each side of the fuse and then work your way back. You will find a plug somewhere that is loose. Check for power at the rear. If there is power then it's a bad ground. But the brake lights are working so I don't think thats the problem. Or it's the headlight switch. It controls all of that.

Last time that happen to me was when I hooked up a trailer connection adapter and the wires for the adapter got corroded. You should also look under the carpet under driver and passenger seats for the rear lights connector there. This has a tendency to disconnect from normal traffic of stuffing things under the seats or a foot hits it. The second connection is somewhere under the truck bed as it leaves the cab under the truck and heads to the tail of the truck.

Where is the dimmer switch located ??
It's a small, round knob on the lower-left side of the dash...above the fuse box door.
Another experience I had was dust inside the instrument cluster, along with the dimmer switch being turned fully down. The dust really dimmed the illumination when I finally did find the dimmer and turned it up.

Hey, I was having the same problem. Not sure what caused it, but after performing a continuity test (from the tail lights forward) at each joint, I ended up under the dash. When I started pulling out the cluster I noticed my parking lights came on! I wiggled the cluster wiring a few times and they flckered a few times, butt then stayed on. I did not find any actual short though. If it happens again, I will l have to unwrap all the factory tape to physically inspect. Thanks to all the folks in the different threads as I checked the all. I had the same problem and all the forums never gave a answer.. But I will . there is a small ground running from the fire wall to the exhaust manifold cover. The wire is about 10 inches long. I went through every single ground with no results. But I cleaned that ground and poof problem solved. I hope this helps
