    Rear brake proportion valve delete

    I want to drop my truck and everyone tells me to delete the proportion valve... How do I delete it???

    When I lowered mine I removed the spring and adjust the bolt as if it was at stock height because it's a load proportioning valve. Then I removed the bracket on top of the diff because it hit the bed and raised the valve closer to the bed floor so the diff wouldn't hit the brake lines. But I was also dropped 6" if your not that low then you might not have as many issues. I've read on here about removing the valve and replacing it with a wilwood manual prop valve and capping off the return line. I think that's what I'm gonna do now that I'm bagged.

    ^^That method works. I deleted mine completely but mine is also a different rear, and I have a hand brake. You can grab a tee from the yard and ditch the prop valve if you really want to, but it's not much different than unhook in it and leaving it there.

    Pro - the truck gets lowered
    Con - the brakes don't respond in the rear when loaded (you'll probably never notice)
