Hello all new on her and to these trucks. I just pulled a 1990 out of the weeds and want to bring it back to life. The motor is in good shape still and ran when parked but now no spark at coil.

Hi dumdum9599, welcome to mightyram. Start with the basics, check to see if any fuses are blown, if there's power going into and out of the ignition, earth leads are grounding to the chassis properly etc. Look for any disconnected plugs in the engine bay or obvious mechanical damage to the wiring. If it was running before there shouldn't be a major fault in the system.
After investigating this morning I have found coil is good and is getting power. Leading me to think that it may be the hall effect pick up coil.
I got the distributor out of the truck that was fun. How do I go about testing the pick up. After cleaning up all the dirt.
OK as far as I can tell the dissy is working but still no spark and now I hear relay clicking but it won't crank so I will try replacing relays tomorow
This may be a case of your computer dying on you - these sound like symptions others have had with 1990 and up trucks. Eliminate all the other possibilities before you blame the computer though - it is the last resort.
