    Electrical inside steering wheel

I have an 83 dodge ram 50. the electrical stuff inside the steering wheel melted. and now the truck wont start. the blinker lever has totally melted. I need to know what that part is called? where to find it? and what other brands/models would possibly fit it?

im not much of a car guy, and i guess its hard to find parts for this year truck. I just need to get the part so i can pay someone to replace it.

    thanks!

Try RockAuto.com . You can enter the year and make and it will give you a drop down menu. Look under electrical, likely called "headlight switch" or "turn signal switch". They usually offer a picture of the part. http://www.rockauto.com/

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

there was just one on ebay this week, not sure it sold. You need to find the short that melted everything or it will happen again.
