86 ram 50 bed compatibility

Does anyone know if there is another small truck with similar bed dimensions? I want to try to steal a contractors rack from the local salvage yard. Is there another manufactured truck with similar dimensions that fits or can be modified with enough ease to make fit. I know anything can be modified but to be worth the hassle and cost.

Any prior experience out there.

I'm not sure about the 1st gens but I know a 2nd gen and a 1st gen s10 are exactly the same.

look for a 6 1/2 foot rack - it will be close enough as the 1st gen beds are 6 3/4 ft long
