Engine swap
O.K. I'm considering doing an engine swap....I'm considering putting a 2.4 into my 1986 Ram 50 which currently has a G63B...but here is the difference from a "normal" swap...I want to drop in the 2.4 but use a carburetor instead of fuel injection....will the 2.4 engine and transmission just bolt in?....will the intake manifold from the G63B bolt up to the 2.4 cylinder head. any other information or suggestions to consider will be gratefully considered.

I'd be surprised if you can't find a carby 4G64 engine. Most of the Express vans I've seen are using carbied 4G64's. It'll make life sooo much easier doing an engine swap. You should only need to fool around with the exhaust system to get it running on the cheap I would doubt there would be a real difference in the drivetrain as they are both 4G6 generation engines.

Engine/tranny should bolt right in. Will probably need the mounts from the 2.4. I believe the intake bolts up also as they are almost the same exact head, the 2.4 just has a little bigger combustion chamber
