New Mighty Max owner and loving it

Hey folks,

I'm a new mighty max owner as of yesterday. It's pretty much the cutest truck I have ever seen and I'm totally in love. It was modded at some point to be a convertible, with a hard top that comes off. Driving around I feel like I'm on safari!!

It's a 1989 2.0L 4cyl manual, tan/gold.

I have a few questions for you experts- I'm looking for a repair manual. I'm also looking to replace the horn that doesn't work and replace the stereo. Any pointers to pages on the forum or wiki that cover these topics would be appreciated.

You can find Haynes and official factory service manuals all over eBay but also check the Manuals forum where we have scans pf manuals for free. Try searching for horn fuse/relay in the search bar and see if anyone had a similar problem. If not, ask away.

There is no horn relay on these trucks - it feeds off the wiper that rides on the back of the steering wheel. There is a fuse for it - make sure the contacts are tight on the ends of the fuse. If you need help with it, I am right here in Pittsburgh - I know way too much about these trucks for my own good. The radio is a single din setup - very easy to change.
