    WTF? broke my clutch lever

Spent most of the last two weekends pulling the transmission to swap out the broken clutch lever.
Fortunatly I had a spare available in an old broken trans. what a PITA.
You could tell where the fresh break was and where the weathered area was that showed it was cracked for a while and progressed until failure.

The black one I cleaned up and painted
The actual shaft is a nice piece of chromium steel and will get added to my tool set. I used it to drive the fork pins back in the replacement shaft.
I knew daredevils and I ain't got nothin' against them, ........it's just they're all dead.

did you just pull the Trans from under the truck? I stopped doing that. Found it was easier and quicker to pull the motor and Trans as a package then split it on the floor. 3 hours by myself...but I've had a lot of practice and air tools. Those 12 tranny cross member bolts almost ruined my arm the first time with a ratchet.

Yes, I just dropped the trans. I had drained the oil, but still managed to Valdez my driveway.
And the air gun is the only way to deal with all the structure bolts.
