    Camshaft crack/scratch?

I finally got my head gasket kit in so i could replace valve seals and get my truck to pass emissions when i was taking off my valve cover i noticed a scratch on the camshaft housing, where the camshaft comes out to the pulley. I was hoping for some input on whether or not i should worry about it, any idea how i could replace it or if i should just call it good and go dohc here's some pictures of the spot after i cleaned, it doesnt feel too deep but you can definitely still feel the ridges.SI851948.jpg SI851950.jpgSI851949.jpg

Thats nothing to worry about. It's just a casting mark. You will find them all over the valve train.

Yeah i decided to just leave it and continue taking off the head but the head bolts are ridiculously tight ! and i read in the Hayne's manual that they should be 8mm allen bolts which in the picture you can see theyre not. Kinda threw me off a bit but whatever i will continue my project tomorrow and hopefully this will leave the truck running smooth and without smoke.
