1987 Mighty Max Brake questions
Hello everyone, I recently got a 1987 mighty max as a gift from someone. It's the standard cab with the 2.0 motor, and it only needs a few things to get it running. It has been sitting for a little over 10 years, so everything on it is a bit corroded. The garage it is in is used regularly, so the parts got shifted around and lost over time. My first question about the truck is: what goes here? http://i.imgur.com/mdmAgvX.jpg?1 My guess was that it was just another one of those 2-way divider blocks, but I am not sure. The next question is, what goes here? http://i.imgur.com/Ka3GGl4.jpg This is right under the master cylinder, so I get the feeling that these 2 pieces might be related in some way.

That's the rear brake line hole,in your second pic you can see the line bent down under the master cylinder. The tad on the fender is probably for the power steering line or something else that was an option on the truck. I have a few of those tabs too. You're going to have to replace the master cylinder as it's probably all dried out and full of rust. You might be able to flush the lines but I would say replace them as well to be on the safe side.

What about this hose? I did some investigating and found it hiding, it connects to a rear brake line and seems to line up nicely with this little tab. I just can't seem to figure out what plugs into that bit though. http://i.imgur.com/eydLMta.jpg?1

Does the rubber line go to the brakes? can't tell from the picture.

Yeah, I got under the truck and traced it to one of the brake lines heading towards the back.

Is there a complete brake line schematic for this truck anywhere online? I haven't found one anywhere.

Should be the same for 2nd Gen.
The are hundreds of manuals in this forum probably worth thousands of dollars if you bought them on eBay, CL and flea markets. All available for free. Great resource.
