confused in new orleans -> is my weber installed wrong way?

is there a difference between installing a weber dgav with the linkage on the firewall side? or the radiator side?

My 86 2.0 liter came with the crappy empi clone weber with the linkage installed in the firewall side. So when i put on my real weber i put it on the same way and reused the linkage setup.

Looking through the secondary barrel, i can see a part of the manifold blocking the path. that seems crappy and somehow it seems like it would cause vaporized fuel to drip there when the secondary opens. since the primary is a lot smaller, would it clear that blockage if the carb was reversed?

The adapter plate is off set so it will always look strange. But it will work just fine. You need to keep in mind the air is travailing so fast it does not have time to collect fuel on the manifold, that and the engine is hot.

If you go by the Weber manual, the smaller primary side of the carb should be closest to the head, realistically, it doesn't matter, as the intake is a single plane design
