Valve seal replacement

What's the best way to replace the valves with an air compressor? I have a valve seal leak that needs to be dealt with.

get the fitting that screws into the plug hole and apply air to it. you can make one by using an old plug, clean out the center, then weld an air fitting to it.

Or, take out the Spark Plug and feed some polypropylene rope, or similar, into the hole and turn the crank till the piston is pressing the rope into the head and holding the valve in place. no air compressor needed :-)
