Hey gurus, would 1990 B2600i 12 valve fit in our trucks?

Is this still a G54B or did those stop going into Mazda B-Series in 1988? A woman just came into the shop and said her husband wanted to sell it for a song. Truck ran great. Even better is it was a manual and there's no emission crap on it.

The layout was swapped, intake on passenger side, exhaust on driver's side. Other than that it looked like a regular Mitsu 2.6, but with injectors and rails.

    Anyone know?

Is the 12 valve head the crummy MCA thing?

the 1990 mazda 2.6 is a mazda motor based on the mitsu design. Go to B2600.com for more info on it and our 2.6 mitsu motors. Mazda did run the mitsu 2.6 in 88 and 89 - the 5 spd tranny has a removable bell housing that allows the use of the RX-7 or other trannies to be bolted upto the truck 2.6. Not sure if it is a good id.ea to swap as intake / exhaust are swapped
