    I have a 88 ram 50 custom extended cab with a 2.6L in it i was wondering could i put a v8 in it if i did i would like to put a dodge engine in it i would like to have a manual in it but it dont matter.

    dodge 4.7s are notorious for dropping valve seats, low on power, and are gas hogs. Get the new pentastar v6 - 295 horse,can be 6 spd, and much better engine.

    I have a 1980 D50 with a 340 in it. It should not be any different than a 88 model.
