91 mighty max surging idle and power loss under throttle

So I am new to forum but this is my second truck. CEL keeps coming on and it will begin to surge.. then under throttle it will cut out like I just took my foot off the gas. It has new plugs wires cap rotor and fuel filter. My buddy at oreilly let me try on a maf, and a tps. Neither one helped. As soon as it gets to temp it will surge. But not all the time. Yesterday it ran fine. Im lost. Please help!

"Shotgunning" is known as throwing parts at your vehicle without diag.

If your CEL is on, get the code and fix the problem. Its telling you what is wrong with it.

I have similar problem but mine sounds like my 4g64 is cammed out at idle.
however I know my fuel pump is going out and I feel like its not giving it enough fuel
so I'm replacing it tomorrow if the weather holds up.

So I think I figured out my cam like problem and loss of power.
my cat in my exhaust was clogged I guess so you might try beating on yours with a wrench or something to see but I just unbolted it and removed the back half of the exhaust and it ran 10x better.
