Suggestions for new air intake kits/upgrade?

I have seen a few engine compartment photos from people on the forum with conical air filters in place of their stock air intake systems. I'm curious if there are specific kits that people are using or if they're simply slapping a conical filter into the place of the existing intake filter assembly.

Pod filters are nasty. Good for throttle response but will pull a lot of radiant heat from the engine bay (bad for air intake temps). They also have a habit of sucking in crumbling air filter element when they get old. If you can adapt a good quality, cleanable filter into the stock air box you'll be better off. If you want to get all off-roadish, maybe install a filter snorkel on your truck.
    Won't be something you'd see everyday on a DR50!
