I had a set of front rotors from my gf's 2006 silverado - since the rotors would fit over the lugs instead of behind it, it would space out the wheel and require longer studs and spacers or 14mm studs to make up for the difference in the stud sizes. the tabs on the hubs gotta go too, but it will make it easier to run silverado / escalade wheels.

Well, if the brake mod requires buying new rims I think I better not mention it in the house right now. Especially after I just poured money into the fresh rebuild. I don't even have 5 miles on my new BFG T/As yet, lol. It's a good thing the wifey doesn't read my forum post. I think she would rather see me checking out neked bodies cause it's free...

Any pictures I can see? I am redoing my brakes next (after A/C rebuild), and want to go disk rear as soon as possible. Also upgrade front rotors, as My Nissan wheels (of my totaled 06 Frontier SE Sport) will supposedly bolt right up! Hmmm, I wonder if the Nissan Brakes and rear axle might swap in? 4 wheel disk! and strong, stock! Rated for 6000 tow rating, 12000 + GVWR. The Mitsu is 16-1750 lbs lighter! Gonna need more whoa, when the extra go is installed, (and using it to tow, safely and stress free!

Pics of? All the front brake upgrade is is a 3/8 thick plate to bolt the caliper to the spindle as with any other big brake kit. Not much to see

Ok understood. I'm trying to cross the Nissan brakes since they are mine already and fit the wheels on the Nissan also! Plus almost new tires, on those wheels...hope it works..they are both HD 6 lug, imported metric measured bolt spacing..crossing fingers! Yours ar best idea, chevy stuff is cheap and everywhere!

Been a while since I updated my thread. Still working on the brake upgrade, pass side is pretty much done, drivers side will require a bracket with a little different shape and I haven't even messed with it.

I have been working on bagging my truck and have the front about 75% done, waiting on a few parts for it and some powder coat and it will be finished up. I still need to buy all the parts for the back of my truck to bag it but I'll worry about that soon enough. Here's a pic with the front almost laying:

Also working on a wire tuck and major harness clean up/redo. The engine harness will be ran inside behind the firewall and come out on the lower drivers side firewall and run to the engine/acc. You will be able to see it but hopefully not a whole lot of it, we shall see. The chassis harness on the drivers side will come out of the cab behind the fender/in front of door and run behind the fender along the inner fender well and then to all there respective places. Battery is being relocated to the back under the bed, on the side of the frame rail.
This was barely just the start of unlooming the engine harness, its a mess now lol

Can I get pictures of how you have the intercooler pipes run and the intercooler itself?

Cleaning my engine wiring harness up still, had tons of wires to trace to make sure I could remove them and lots of connections to fix. Also having to clean up some of my rushed/cheaply done wiring work. It is looking much cleaner now and I might have it pretty close to finished tomorrow or for sure Friday. After that I'll start on the chassis/power wiring that was on the drivers side fenderwell.

Here's where I left off yesterday:

    Here's where I end today:

You can't tell by the last pic but here is where I left off:

Engine harness pretty much done, still have to put the plugs on for the injectors, MAF, and o2 sensor. And connect my power wires(red ones) to the fuse box/chassis harness.

    Inside floorboard:

And pic of the engine bay, pretty much no electrical wiring can be seen besides a few little parts:

I'll get better engine bay pics once I get my truck a little further along. Still have to do the driver's side battery/chassis harness next.

The bagging is looking nice. Wheels look good tucked up in those fenders like that. Eager to see it finished.

Looks sweet. You want to come give me a hand with mine. Lol. Quick question what oil filter do you use? I'm getting close to putting fluids in mine but can't figure out what oil filter to use.

Wha? The first gen oil filters fit the g63? are they larger then the noted regular oil filter for these engines? Though mine is a G63B, I'm pretty sure they take the same filter, or I will find out.

Yea just use the stock oil filter. There is a larger capacity oil filter actually that many DSMer's run , I believe it is off an EVO 4g63 or something along those lines, info can be found dsmtuners.com somewhere.

Been working on my front end and powder coating some items.

Here are some lower control arms I powder coated Deep Purple for my buddies mighty max. Still have to do the other three once they are ready.

Here's my pie-cut upper control arms coated in Platinum.

Just installed my new Moog ball joints right after I snapped this pic. Have to put the cross shafts back in and they'll be ready to go.

Passenger side is basically done, just need to fully weld up the new lower arm brackets.

Here's a shot with everything bolted up and checking that all my math worked out.
You can see my 3000gt 4pot calipers and 12.5" rotors too.
