    trans gasket

Got a filter and gasket from my local qarquest and had to end up trimming the gasket and redoing a couple of the holes. Anyone give me a good place to get one that fits? Which atf do ya'll recommend?

ATF dextron 3 should work fine - not any of the special ones. Original atf was dextron II - doubt if you can fine that anymore. Lubegard makes an additive for atf that makes dextron III into a universal ATF and will make it work better and last longer - available at NAPA. Not sure about the gasket - you might be better off making one yourself.

Thanks pennyman. I considered making one. That way I know it would fit!

I know that we used an anaerobic type (if that's even spelled right) in the farm equipment shop that wouldn't setup unless it was compressed. You could wipe the excess off even the next day after assembly but it would seal excellent.
