    Mighty Max official pace truck

I picked up some vintage 4wd magazines and in one on the last page it has a story of a giveaway in 1983 or 84 of a stadium racing Mitsu Pace Truck and the guy who won it. Has graphics and was a turbo diesel. I'm getting several articles together and my buddy is going to help me get them on here. I'd love to have that one today, and might try to track it down.

Probably been made into a bumper for a new Kia or something after China melted it down from scrap after we shipped to them, lol. I would start checking DMV on the plates , but I really don't think that they will give any personal info on the owner , or maybe they will.
Probably pulling a plow in an old farmers field in Minnesota.

It has the guy's name and city, it is in Cali. so thats a start. It would be so very cool if it had been languishing in his garage with say a leaky tire valve stem and he stopped driving it. I have a friend in So. Cal who owns several of the vehicles from the T.v. show Rockford Files. He actually found the father's (Rocky) truck doing exactly this and the truck is remarkably complete and was in the backyard of the owner who bought it from the GMC dealer (where the vehicles went) after the show was over.

Yes, it's the last page in the Mini Truck magazine (owned by Wright publishing, not sure how long it was published for, now defunct) and mixed into an overall article on Mitsubishi in America. Photo is very dark, looks like it was taken at the end of a stadium race. I hope to post several articles in next couple of weeks. I bought a collection of magazines and their are a number of good Mitsu / Ram 50 / D-50 articles. I'm a bit computer challenged and a buddy is going to help me scan and post.

My buddy has the truck plus 2 (I believe )of the Firebirds, one was the sound car w/ holes drilled for microphones within the interior. The other was one of the camera cars just used for still and promo shots, very good shape.
