is the graphite contact on the distributor cap coming in contact with the rotor button sometimes the graphite gets worn down and wont conduct your spark also is your coil wire good?
be sure you have the wiring to the coil right - there are 2 wires to the ballast resistor - 1 for run that goes through the resistor, and one that bypasses the resistor that comes from the starter solenoid. if they are not connected right, it won't give you spark.
