Cap and rotor short wear life

I have a 94 mighty max 3.0L. less then a few thousand miles ago I replaced the cap and rotor. Now the problem is back again. This is crazy. $40 in parts every few months. I change oil less often that that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? All stock parts with an intake. Estimated 228 on the clock.

if the rotor is cutting into the cap, the bearings in the distributor are shot, causing the shaft to wobble.
