    Shifter bushing

Tranny shop called, bushing on shifter (looks to be nylon material) very deteriorated. Anyone have input on where one might find the part other than buying the whole shifter assembly? This is the one on the shifter itself, can't find a listing in the parts book other than the whole assy. Thanks guys.

There is a guy on ebay in Austrailia that is selling the ball and the bushing on the end together: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171394090942...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT . Or try a Mitsubishi or Hyundai / Kia dealer - they all used the same shifters. They should be able to get just the ball for you.

Is it the whole ball or just the through pin? You may be better off sourcing a replacement shifter/top plate assembly for your extension housing.

I did source the shifter/top plate assembly.Very high prices when I really need just the bushing. Hoping someone had a current part number of a bushing I could use rather than expensive /wasteful part acquisition of the whole shifter assy.

Found a billet short shifter, but you're right - it's big coin...

Do you need the ball or just the plastic bushing? I have a few NEW bushings and would sell one.

I believe just the bushing. According to the shop it is part of the shifter assy. and not serviced as a stand alone component in the parts book. Mitsu dealer confirmed that he can't find a listing for the bushing. Apparently it is Not the one that fits in a lower cup P/N (MD701577). Spent 2 hours on that issue... I have to apologize for being sketchy in my description, I am doing this long distance and have just spoken with them over the phone. If that is what you have I'll take one. My truck is a 1987 4X4 5sp. manual. Thanks much!

the conquest short throw from 101propose won't work on our trucks - the top of our trannies are totally different. The link I posted earlier is for both ball and bushing. It is for the shifter, and not the transfer case, correct?

Oh sorry I thought you were talking about the plastic bushing that goes on the ball at the bottom of the shifter assembly.
