    center console?

Anyone know of the dimensions of the cutout in the center console for the 4x4 vs 4x2? are they the same part with a different trim piece or different part all together?

What year? I might be able to get some information from my Mitsubishi ASA program. Need 87 or newer.

This is the part number for the retainer ring around gearshift boot for 2WD & 4WD - MA181285
You can plug this number in online in a google search and it will locate the rings and show images somewhere out there for verification.

I see, you don't want to purchase a part and find out it won't fit if I'm correct.
Well, not sure if this helps but here it goes...

These are the 4WD console parts, sorry I have no measurements only parts numbers.

These are the 2WD parts. You maybe able to compare part numbers but they show no opening measurements.

i KNow this is an old thread but we have been talking about center consoles in other threads and this one could use some help.

This perticular center console (picured above in the first few posts) will not work for your 4wd truck, the opening is too small and removing the black plastic trim will not work. you need to get a 4wd console (pictured below) from a second gen. They are VERY hard to find and rare. Good luck.

I've got two complete consoles for 2WD trucks. I'll clean them up soon and put them on my store.

I'd build one. Make a shell for it out of stiff cardboard and lay cotton/polyester fleece over it with fiberglass resin. Then you can get interesting with it - custom gauge mount, switch panel, drink holder. As it is I'm toying with the idea of making a custom grill and maybe an engine bay insert. Will be a bit more involved than a console though...
