    Overdrive automatic transmission

I am trying to find out if there is a overdrive automatic trans that will fit my 86 ram 50 shows engine model G63B, but I've been told it's not the original engine, the top bell housing bolts are approx 6 1/2" apart.

There's a plate/flat spot on the pass side of the engine block that will tell you engine code. Also measure the distance between the two bottom bell housing bolts, that's how we determine narrow or wide block pattern.

I checked out the engine and it's stamped G63B and the bottom mounting bolts are 12 1/2" apart

I believe that would be a narrow block. Why put a auto on a G63 tho? The 4g64 is a dog with an auto I'd hate to see the g63 with the .4L less and carb'd. A 2.6 would be a nice cruiser truck since that engine has some more balls to it.
