I have recntly bein giving to me i need help identifying it title says ram 50 vin n0 9jp4wa431618 its black with a gold no one with dodge in middle its a stepside metal bed fiberglass fenders buckets 5 speed it had dummy stacks that where stolen along with wheels 6 lug it has 98 grand original was parked in 95 motor turns was told clutch went out no rust interior not bad need any n all info n possable value

That is exactly the vin on title and tag under window send cell ill send pic of vin or ur email add ill send pics of truck

Here are the pictures of the truck he sent me. I would only give $75.00 at the most, but only if it has a clean title. It's a first gen sport with a Ford or some other bed on the back. It's a 1980 2.6 with a 5 speed 49 state, acording to the vin decode of the first gen manual. It's pretty much junk at this point. If the engine and trans is in there you might be able to salvage somthing out of it. But it will take a hole lot of work and money to get it going.
But if you have the time and you don't get side tracked you could have it running in about 4 to 6 weeks if all the parts are in there. But no way to tell what or if it would run.

I think the vin #s were shorter then. I like the truck, It is a rare one with those fenders. Wish they didn't roll the truck bed rails like that though. It doesn't quite match the front. That wasn't a dually truck was it? Look good with some Mickey Thompsons on it.

The vin he put up is right for an 1980 truck - that was a Sport "spring special" model - that is exactly like the 1980 parts truck I am about to scrap. The bed is an aftermarket one by california step side that was popular at the time - thought about getting one several times. They also made a version for the Dakotas in the 90's with stacks to mimick the lil red express trucks. That looks better than you think - if the floor and doors aren't rotted out, I say fix it up.

My vote is to move him down into the proper user group.

If this guy thinks the bed is worth $1000.00 then good luck and sell it on Ebay. Rear bed flairs are broken and UV damaged. Mirrors are junk. Grill is broken below head light. Does not run. No tires, if the parking brake was on then there is a good chance it will stay on. Dash is toast, interior is toast. There "may" be a usable center console and speedo. I would guess under the foot+ of trash and leaves in the bed it's a rust bucket.
So for this guy to say to and I quote,

I think someone has come to the wrong forum.
Any thoughts on the direction or action we should take???

Ok so you know its not a dodge bed well the tailgate says dodge the build sheet wich the owner gave me states dodge ram 50 warrior i talked to someone at dodge after this n foubd that in 87 dodge and a company called ler made the trucks as to pay respect to the lil red express n the warlock from 78 n 79 in 87 there was lil over 700 made n he said the bed alone is worth a grand so as far as ur 75 dollar offer get it in pennies n sfuff up ur ass further more if you dont know what ur talking about shut up.

Now this is the kind of guy you see lurking the Craigslist, (Craigslist Fly). My attitude on people with attitudes is..."ask once to act human and never invade my bubble. This guy IMO has invaded the bubble with diarrhea of the mouth and doesn't deserve the "ask once to act human line". Walk him to the door and let him keep walking, I suggest. We are not a desperate forum needing member numbers to be great, and we definitely don't need cockroaches infesting it either.
