good news for 2.4 d50 owners

So just for shits and giggles today i checked with my parts guy about the 2.4 exhaust manifolds. It turns out mitsubishi still makes them. My cost is around 155. So before you go buy that used one on ebay for 200 to replace your cracked header check with your mitsu dealer. He said the dodge p/n for the same part is more expensive but theyre the same part just the mitsu has MD infront of the number.

Funny, they use to have the exhaust manifolds for trucks on a required recall listing for cracking, it has since disappeared mysteriously from the requirements listing. Nothing like casting inferior metals into car parts so they last a long time, pffft!. Be sure to get your receipt and ask about guarantee on those manifolds.

I'll never see the new one crack since the truck will be going when my diesel is done. I'm sure that's the reason i'm getting such s**ty gas mileage tho. CEL comes on too.
