Considering a Radical Custom Job, need a few answers

    Hi all,

I've got a radical idea I'm considering, but want to get some info first.

Does anyone know how much the BODY and BED of a first Gen d-50 weighs?

I'm asking because I've got a pair of 4wd Diesel D50's, and am considering putting a completely different body on the frame. Basically I've got two trucks and can make one drivetrain, but was thinking it might be cool to drop some other body on it.

In order to do that, I'd need to know what the cab and bed weigh so I don't overload the frame and engine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help guys!

2 people can pick it up and lift it above the head. Not much. There just kind of bulky to work with by your self, but you can do it. I did.

Sort of. I've got an extra block. But it's been sitting in the weather. Dunno if it's a suitable core or not.
