Crossmembers???? almost drug the rear one off....

So my question is can i do away with the crossmember (the tubular u shaped one in the rear), without fabbing a new one or should i weld somekind of frame brace and weld it in before cutting it out. The trans crossmember I am reworking to prevent dragging when I am layed out. The rear thou its pissing me off 3rd place in the minitruck limbo cuz of this damn brace.

If it's like my truck then th propeller shaft center bearing support is there. But you can cut it off and drop in a straight peace, reattach the support to the new peace. Just make sure the propeller shaft is straight.

Do you mean the one right at the back where the spare tire hanger is?
