    Weber carb conversion...now no spark.

Hi all, I have an 88 D50 2.6l, got it free after it has been sitting for 2 years with a hole in the exhaust, it would crank over and fire for a few seconds but just wasnt getting fuel. I wanted to eliminate the Mikuni carb, got a Weber 32/36 w/conversion kit, new fuel pump, and filter. Went to put it all back together and couldnt get the stock coil to send a spark to the distributor. Tried an older MSD Blaster SS, with the ballast resisitor, still no spark. Found that the Blaster SS was bad. Got a new Accel Super Stock.

I found a good wiring diagram that shows which wires go where, from the ignition and distributor through the ballast resistor, am going to wire it up tonight.

Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, comments, advice, before I proceed?

    Eric

Just make sure your ballast resistor is still good if it went bad you might not get any voltage to the coil. Also make sure that it is the right one for the coil, i made the mistake of using the wrong resistor on my ford galaxie and ended up severely shortening the life of my brand new coil, oops
