87 Power Ram smoking alot and runs rough!
Hey guys- I recently picked up a 1987 Power Ram for putting around the farm. Had been sitting a few years. Put some clean gas and a hot battery and it fired right up! Amazing!
However, as it warms up, it starts to smoke, alot! I had the oil filler cap off, and it has a lot blow back. also, the hose going from the valve cover to the air filter spews smoke and oil dropletts! I tought PCV valve, but cant seem to locate one?
Also, i thought i would hold the rpms at about 2k and let it blow some stuff out since it had been sitting. Holding the throttle in the same spot, the truck tries to die after just a few seconds... Thoughts? Thanks!!!

PCV is on the front top of the valve cover, kinda a brass-colored screw in piece with a hose barb. Piece of 3/8" hose runs from there to the intake manifold, also on a barb.
Do a compression check, betting the rings are shot...could be wrong, but...
Could also be valve seals...or both.

Rings are stuck and needs to run, allot. Also the fuel filter is plugged. Replace filter. Change the oil and put in Dellow 400. 15-30. Drive it around the farm. It might clean up. It's all you can do with out tearing it down.
