    New D50...tire size question

Just picked up a 1982 Dodge D50 Royal as a parts hauler and fishing truck. I am building a 1977 firebird and the nevada mountains are full of good fishing streams maybe once I get my bird built ill throw the donor 350 that was in it into the truck just for sh*ts and giggles.

I am looking at some new tread since the stock tires are pretty bald. I am wanting to know if the TSL Bias 28x8.5-14 tires will fit on the stock rim. I am not worried about rubbing or fitment in the wheel well cause i will take care of that. But only if the tire itself will fit on the rim. The specs show it will fit a 6.5in rim and from what i am gathering the stock rim is only 6in.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

yes the stock wagon wheels are 14 x 6, factory steelies are 14 x 5.5. It can be put on the narrower rim - it will make the center of the tire stick up and wear out faster.
