I'm constantly going back and forth between swapping bodies and staying 4x4 or drivetrain swap and trans conversion and running a 2wd drift/street truck

Depends on what you want to do ultimately with the truck. Both are good options, but they have very different uses...
What's your ultimate goal?

I'm kinda torn because I'd like a wicked fast sleeper that nobody suspects then tell them it's a diesel. I just would like to be able to go offroad too but I"m trying to build something with higher MPG too so I can take it on trips to pick up parts or whatever and not worry about gas so it'll be about building for efficiency.

Gotcha. Gotta make a decision though, otherwise you end up with a vehicle that can do a little bit of everything but isn't great for any one thing.

I'd love to put a built 392 hemi in the truck :p but I'm not looking for exessive mods and I want a reliable clean fuel efficient but quick truck. If I build a V8 MM it'll be a 2nd gen with a clean body and blown engine that I can pick up for cheap. I'd love to put the 4m40 or 41 in this truck but I'm up in the air about the transmission conversion atm. It's visually a baby cummins but it's the newer version of the 4d5 series. The weakest version of this engine pushes about 150hp 250tq and the new injection system on the 4m41 pushes it up to 200/285 which is a good step up from the 80hp 140tq that the 4d5 puts out.
