    oil squirters?

so i was working on my engine today because i just got the block back from the machine shop today, as im looking at the front of the block i notice something that looked to me as a bolt with the head broken off. so being me, my first instinct was to grab some vice grips and try to work it out. no luck. then i go to work and find out it was a oil squiter....anybody know anything about these????

on the 2.6 it oils the timing chain - did you move it at all or reposition it? If you did put it back or you will fry the timing chain.

have no idea - never removed one. They were prone to plug up from sludge when people didn't change their oil every 3k miles in these motors - thats why they got a bad rap in caravans and k cars.
