my 88 ext cab had an oem 2 piece center console with 3 cup holders. I'll see if I can find some pictures somewhere.
My 87 (purchased new) has a center console which ends before the front of the bucket seats, I added the second parts referred in the previous post which is a natural fit. The factory colors are slightly off between years but not much.

At the middle there is a cup holder, and at the very back there is a flip up lid with a storage compartment, the lid itself actually splits into two layers, the very to, a middle layer with two more cup holders (yeah, three cup holders in a two seater truck) and under that is a good size compartment. The tray at the front part of the console will also un-screw, allowing it to be used on 5-speed's as well.

that looks soo sick. I got the rear console out of a 1st gen raider that looks just like the one in the 2nd gen truck. I had an 88 spacecab that had that same console.
Can't say for sure if it will fit in a regular cab. I bet johnboy still has my old one, and he just might sell it. But I believe he is back overseas now.
I had one in my 87 standard cab 5 speed 4x4 d50 for a long time. Tried selling it for over a year (toward the end I was asking $5 for the thing) but had no one interested so I cut it apart to install in my '84 D50 with a B&M Ratchet Shifter

looks like da front part of it can fit in a cab w/ a bench too.. since da first piece of it stops right at the front of the seats so it should work, technically.. anybody?
btw ethan, what cluster do u have in that 88 from da pic w/ da console in it? it has a tach thats why im asking. i'd love to put an oem cluster w/ a tach in my '88 as opposed to da aftermarket ones. lmk. thnx

I have a factory console in my 1989 2wd 5-speed ext cab truck, but I don't have any good pictures of it from what I can find. It's just like the one pictured above, but blue, and cracked
Thats an oem tach cluster. Can be found in the sports and some 4x4 and some other models.
what mods would have to be done to my wire harness to be able to plug'n'play an oem cluster w/ a tach? im guessing nothing too major...nvr done it before
