no start on 92 power ram 50 4x4 2.4

I am new to forums,so here i go.bought 92 power ram 50 4x4 2.4 that had not been started in 4 years. Motor was trashed and locked,found donor block and built 2.4 with all new internals. Installed and motor turns over no spark.checked coil have voltage,primary resistance littlehigh.but should work.wherse is the best placeto start troubleshooting electrical? Engine light is on,but i haveno analog meter to see codes, can faintly see blinking.any suggestions?

I think you partially answered your own question, you need to pick up an inexpensive analog meter to see what codes you have. This would certainly be my first step.

What diagram did you use to time the motor and distributor
