20121228_120531.jpg[20121229_235842.jpg20121230_000133.jpgI had a 1980 Dodge Ram 50 a few years ago, and I just loved the fact that is was so basic, was easy on gas, and so easy to work on. Sadly I had to sell it when I moved, and now that my family has settled I have been looking for a different one. At the moment I am in Greece, but I was on Craigslist, and I found this little gem. I sent my wife to buy it, and now I have a nice little project for when I get back to the States. I know there are a couple issues, but nothing that I think will be too difficult to fix. The body is staight, and never been wrecked. Anyway, I will post a few pictures..... I have quite a few more pictures, but the files are too big to post, so these 3 will have to do.

I guess I should have mentioned that it is a 1988 Dodge Ram 50 Sport extended cab. Luckily it has the 5 speed tranny, and bucket seats!

Welcome and nice truck/project. You'll love the ext cab, I know I do, especially if you had a single before like me. If you need any help or info just ask and someone will be sure to help. And start a build thread when you start working on it.

Yes, besides a good cleaning, I know that I have a couple of things that have to be done before it will be road worthy. First off, I need to replace the windshield, adjust the clutch, replace a fuse or two, and replace the brakes. Also, I will need to do the regular basic maintanence, but the truck is solid, and the body is straight, and virtually rust free. Unfortunately, I won't be able to start any kind of work on it until June when I go home on leave.

Oh, so I see you're new here too. Looks like you found a nice project. I hope to have mine well along by the time you come home on leave, but maybe we can help each other out since we're so close. If you find parts on craigslist that you need picked up let me know and I'll do what I can I work out of town, but get around a bit chasing down parts and tools on the weekends. I watch Craigslist pretty closely, so get me a list of what you're looking for and if I see it, I'll let you know.
