Hey Errol, I'm doing ok buddy. Just still have a bunch of stuff still on my plate. Wanting to get back to this one, but I just rebuilt my friends car (the one who passed). Also got my grandpa's truck to get running. If you've still got my number give me a call sometime. I could pick your brain on a couple things...

I've gone through a 'few' phones since then.
PM me yer info and we'll talk. Glad to help if I can remember that is..
Still got most all of the colt left. Just TOO BUSY, working 10hr shifts doesn't
lend itself for much on the side.

I'd love to see your build in person!
I'm stuck on my 88 1ton max believing that a later 318 roller motor would just "BOLT IN" like I've read.
BUT NOOOOOO! (starter on D/S messes EVERYTHING UP)

So, it's a BIG wasp hotel right now.

Considering selling/trading this one on to someone who has the time to finish it. I dunno when I'll be able to get back on it. So if anyone is interested shoot me a PM. Other wise, it will be stuck into the corner of the garage till I can clear out some other projects and find some time...

I must be loosing my mind, because i cant find the edit post function. Here are a bunch of random pictures. I doubt anyone will want to pay what I'll have to have for it (even at half the cost im into it), but figured I'd share.

You sure you want to give up on this man? You got all of the really hard stuff done, and you did it expertly. Now it's just the dozen tiny things. Don't quit on this.

The edit button is a donator perk. We had problems in the past with abuse.

Nobody gets into this game to make a profit out of building a project vehicle - it's about the process. The numbers on building a modded ride goes something like this - buy the truck etc, work out how much it's 'going' to cost, then double it. That should put you in the ball park for an overall budget Sometimes you get the ultimate budget find and it saves you a heap of cash but it doesn't happen often enough... hopefully someone sees the potential in your work and takes it on from where you've had to leave it.

Are you married? My wife understands that when I say I love my truck, It's like saying I love my dog.

Dang Nate. You have really put a dent in this. Looks like most of its done and you have some electrical to do. Why not finish? BTW I need to thank your for confirming that the DOHC will fit with the brake master cylinder. I will be doing a similar build, but with some variations. Also nice work on the CAS, as there is no way to mount that against the firewall. I probably would have sourced some 2nd gen heads with all that work. LOL.

PS I just picked up a Montero SR, so I think you know where I am headed with that.

Thanks guys, I'm just tired of not having the time to work on it. I have many other projects and this one is lowest on the list right now. If no one makes a decent offer it can sit here. I just hate to see it take up room in my shop for the next year or so till I can actually do something with it.

Nate it took me 12 years to put mine back together. I built or restored 9 other vehicles in that time for customers but for the last 3 years I've been driving the wheels off mine. Just put it off to the side and when you have an hour or 2 do something with it and you'll get it done.

If all that is holding you back is time then put it aside and it will wait for you. A little bite out of it here and there and it will come together. But if someone comes along and makes a good offer, well it might be time to plan the next project.

Just wanted to let you guys know that this thing sold, and was finished. It now resides in Illinois, and spends its days as a Daily driver for the Twins at AMS performance. Maybe they will chime in with an update.

Interested in how this turned out. I finished my 6g75 MIVEC build as well.

...?? maybe it's just me, but can't see ANY PICS for some reason..

Sorry that it ended up that way. All too familiar for me also. Sold my '66 New Yorker 2dr to a guy and BAM.. He did all this stuff to it within a couple months. And that BMW vert was sold to another bud and he's got a tunnel-ram'd 350/th350 with 3.91 LSD rear!

Seems like my projects don't get done by me, just the peeps I sell to..

I think the vast majority of the pics were re-sourced from failbook. Might need a FB account or something...
